Sylvia is a strategic finance leader with a passion for turning complexity into clarity and enabling visionary founders to lead with conviction. As the founder and lead consultant of Catalyst Finance Partners, she brings nearly two decades of experience supporting high-growth companies at critical inflection points—from fundraising and scenario planning to operational
scale and board readiness.
She has held leadership roles at Ambrx, Astellas Gene Therapies, BioMarin, and Viavi Solutions, where she partnered cross-functionally with executives and cross-functional teams in R&D, clinical, engineering, commercial, and operational teams. She’s known for building robust financial models, aligning forecasts with strategy, and delivering insights that drive fast, smart decisions.
With an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and CPA from California Board of Accountancy, Sylvia combines financial discipline with an operator’s mindset. Her consulting work is grounded in trust, agility, and deep commitment to the success of the founders and teams she supports.
